How does the Undergraduate Pass / Fail Policy work?
A student may request the S/U grading option for as many as 16 semester hours in a baccalaureate degree program in addition to courses universally graded on an S/U basis. Any S/U hours taken in excess of 16 will not count toward graduation.
A grade of S is interpreted as falling within the range of A to C and carries full credit. A grade of U is interpreted as D to F and carries no credit. Neither S nor U is considered in the cumulative grade point average.
Note: Taking more than 12 hours on an S/U basis could raise the GPA requirement for graduation with honors. Questions about graduating with honors should be directed to 372-7961.
